In America, places such as California are being affected mostly from the sea and on the coast. An example of this is San Francisco, where it has affected the coast and has started to come inland.

At only a 0m increase, New York is already under threat, both from the sea, and inland.

As you can see, the flooding has increased dramatically and come further inland in both California and New York, a big difference from a 0m sea level rise.

This rise in sea level contributes to the complete wipe out of California cities such Freeport, Long Beach and Valley Stream.
